Maths Week - THE ESTIMATOR / Maths Treasure hunt
We’ve been enjoying a fantastic week of mathematical activities this week to celebrate Einstein’s birthday and International Pi Day.
On Monday , the hunt was on for THE ESTIMATOR, the student most able to accurately estimate the height of the school hall, the weight of a cake, the number of cans which would fit in a wheelie case, the speed of Mr Maguire’s Hornby train etc. We are compiling the results and look forward to announcing this title next week.
Throughout the week students have been invited to take part in a Maths treasure hunt around the school where they had to find out how many classroom numbers are palindromic or where in school you might find a trapezoidal prism…
