Greenpower Goblin Scrutineering Event at Richard Lander School

As part of the Greenpower project, Richard Lander Racing offered an opportunity for the primary Goblin competitors to visit the school with their cars in preparation for the race at Newquay Airport which will take place on Wednesday 21st June. Despite driving rain, the students enjoyed a team briefing, help scrutineering their vehicles which included electrical checks and nut tightening and several test laps of the tennis courts, including a slalom challenge.

The Goblin cars were funded by the Transformation Trust last November and Cornwall has more Goblin teams than any other county.

The schools which attended were, Devoran (yellow shown in the photographs) Kennal Vale, Threemilestone, Blackwater, Perranaworthal, and Mylor Bridge.

Mr Ben Lloyd King (Science Teacher) said: What a fantastic day it was to see the primary Goblin cars come along for a test run at RLS. I was particularly impressed by the childrens enthusiasm and quality of workmanship. Best of luck to all, at St Mawgan.
