Richard Lander Racing Secures Place in National Final at Big Bang Fair

On Thursday 28th June, Richard Lander Racing attended the Big Bang Fair at Exeter University with their Greenpower car to compete against over 120 other exhibits for a place in the National Science and Engineering Competition.

The car was in less than perfect condition having been through a collision at RAF St Mawgan on Thursday 21st June. Despite this, the team impressed the judges with their knowledge of the car and the project as a whole.

Out of the 120, a total of 10 finalists were selected who will now go on to the National Final in March 2013, at London ExCel. Richard Lander Racing were one of these!

Jacca Stephens (14) The Big Bang Fair was a really good thing to do and really good promotion for our car. We were delighted to progress to the National Final

Mr Ben Lloyd King  (Science Teacher) Congratulations to the Richard Lander Racing team for winning a place at the BIG BANG NATIONAL FAIR, to be held in London next March!!! RLR pupils took our (broken) car and display to Exeter University for the South West Big Bang Fair and are now finalists in the National Science and Engineering Competition! Good work team! As ever, our team members were a credit to the school, and thoroughly deserve to win a place in the final!
