On Tuesday 4th December nineteen Year 4 students from Chacewater Primary School came to RLS to spend the afternoon in the Art Department. The students have a link with a school in Kenya and we used this as inspiration for their visit, discussing their struggle for a clean water supply and looking at traditional symbols and patterns from the country. Each student made a clay cup to symbolise a water carrier and decorated their clay with beautiful African patterns. The students were very enthusiastic about their visit and excited about seeing and visiting the school. It was a really successful and enjoyable afternoon.
