Individual Success at Schools Team Show Jumping

On 17th February Richard Lander sent 2 representative show jumping teams to the Schools Team Show Jumping Competition at Resparveth Equestrian Centre.  Each team took place in the ‘Tack and Turn out’ showing followed by 2 rounds of jumping, one of which was timed.
Although both teams were eliminated from the team competition due to refusals there were some individual successes which they should be very proud of. In the Open competition Alannah Priestland made it through to the individual jump off in which the 10 top riders competed for placing; she received a clear round but unfortunately wasn’t quite quick enough to finish in the top 5.
More success was seen in the Novice Competition however, the team finished 6th out 12 teams in the ‘Tack and Turnout’, with both Lauren Moyle and Catherine Stidwill making it through to the individual jump off stage. Not only did the girls do extremely well to make it into the top 10 out of nearly 50 riders, they were both placed in the top 5 with Lauren finishing in 4th place and Catherine in 2nd place. A huge congratulations to both of those students and well done to everyone who took part!
