After weeks of rehearsals and very hard work, 70 Year 9 students took their Fire Safety Tour out to Mount Hawke, Chacewater, Mithian and St Agnes Primary schools in the week before half term. The year 9 drama students performed thirteen short plays each with a very important fire safety message. The hour long show was very well received by the primary school audiences as the plays used humour, dance and music to get their messages across. Each play was introduced by our four narrators Jack Beech, Cameron Hughes, Charlotte Sweet and Louise Wilde. Some of the topics covered included being safe around bonfires, not playing with matches and the importance of checking your smoke alarm. The primary school audiences listened very carefully and went home with some very important fire safety advice. Well done to year 9 – you were a credit to the school.
