In December. Katie Edwards (Year 9) valiantly decided to have her long golden locks cut off to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust. She chose 3 of her favourite teachers to do the honours - Mr Gell, Mr Crawley and Mrs Martin who chopped off her plaits in front of a delighted audience of students. Following this Mr Gell decided to match Katie’s bravery and allow her to publically shave his head, on the condition that the Richard Lander School community could raise a further £100 for the charity. Conditions fulfilled, Katie creatively shaved a star into Mr Gell’s head and between them they raised a massive £500 for the charity. Well done to you both!!
