We are delighted to announce that we are hosting another Lander for Uganda School Sleepover! Please see the information sent home below:
Dear Parent/Carer,
It’s that time of year and once again we would like to invite Year 7 & 8 students to our famous Richard Lander School sleepover!
The School Sleepover will take place from 19:00 on Friday 13th November until 09:30 on Saturday 14th November. All proceeds from this event will go towards the Lander4Uganda project, which aims to improve the quality of life for hundreds of students and their families in and around the Masaka area of Uganda.
Activities will run in classrooms from 20:00 until 23:30; students then stay the night in group classrooms under staff supervision before enjoying an early breakfast the next day. Activities include: Silent Disco; film rooms; gaming rooms; craft activities; karaoke; sport and much more. There will also be a fundraising tuck shop selling drinks, snacks and hot dogs.
Students must be dropped off by parents and signed in to ensure they have consent. Students may be collected the next day or walk home with permission.
Dress code will be long legged pyjamas or onesies, dressing gowns, jumpers and trainers as required. Nighties, cropped tops and shorts are not permitted. Students will need to bring a sleeping bag/duvet, pillow, and a roll mat. Students are responsible for their belongings in the sleeping rooms. Sleeping arrangements for all students will be by gender/year/friendship group. Groups will be assigned a separate classroom for sleeping in. Staff will be supervising corridors at all times during the night.
The cost of this activity will be £18.00 to be paid via ParentPay. This includes breakfast cereal with milk, juice and toast. Please provide for your own special dietary requirements. There will be sweets, treats and hot dogs available to buy at an additional cost during the evening.
All payments and consent need to be made via our online payments system ParentPay (which can be accessed through the school website). The website is secure and you can pay by either Debit or Credit card. If you wish to pay by Cash, you will need a separate consent form and letter with a Barcode, which you can take to your nearest PayPoint store.
