Today, students from Richard Lander School returned to school to collect their long-awaited GCSE results — and the achievements of the Class of 2025 are something to be extremely proud of.

After five years of dedication and hard work, students have been rewarded with results that reflect their resilience, commitment, and ambition. An impressive 25% of students achieved 5 or more GCSEs at grades 9–7 (previously an A/A*), and 73% of the cohort gained 5 or more passes at grades 9–4.

Other notable highlights include:

  • 30 students achieved 9 or more GCSEs at grades 9–7
  • 22.5% of students secured 9–7 grades in both English and Maths
  • 54.3% achieved grades 9–5 in both English and Maths
  • 71.4% achieved grades 9–4 in both English and Maths

A special congratulations goes to three exceptional students who each achieved nine GCSEs at Grade 9 — the highest grade possible. Among them was Rudy, who said: “Hard work pays off.” His outstanding results — nine Grade 9s and one Grade 8 — must prove this!

“On behalf of staff and the governing body, we offer our congratulations to Year 11 students who did extremely well in their GCSE exams this summer. Their success is the result of five years’ hard work and commitment to their studies during their time at Richard Lander School.

An incredible 25% of our students gained five or more Grade 7–9 passes, which is a terrific achievement. Special commendation goes to the three students who all achieved nine GCSE passes at Grade 9.

We wish all of our students the very best for the future as they embark on the next stage of their exciting journey. On behalf of the whole school community — well done to Year 11!”
